Terms of Service
Last updated: April 22, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Harbsfarm Qurbani website and booking system, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
Harbsfarm Qurbani offers the sacrifice, processing, and fulfillment of Qurbani animals for Eid Al Adha 2026 (slaughter dates May 28 and 29, 2026). Our website allows customers to book an animal (whole sheep, whole goat, or whole cow), reserve a one-hour slaughter slot, choose in-person attendance or virtual fulfillment, and select pickup at the farm or local delivery.
3. Bookings and Payments
An upfront deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit covers the animal price, a kill fee, and a processing deposit, and is charged at the time of reservation. The final processing balance is calculated after slaughter based on the animal's hanging weight and will be invoiced separately through Square prior to pickup or delivery.
All payments are processed securely through Square. Harbsfarm Qurbani does not store your card details on our servers.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation window. You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before your scheduled slaughter slot by emailing qurbani@harbsfarm.com. Cancellations made within this window are eligible for a refund of the processing deposit; the animal price and kill fee are non-refundable once your booking is confirmed because animals are reserved on your behalf.
After the cancellation window. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days before your slot are non-refundable in full, as the slaughter slot and animal cannot be reallocated on short notice.
Refund processing. All refund requests are handled manually by our team and processed directly through Square. There is no self-service refund option in the booking system. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
5. Religious Observance
Every Qurbani animal is slaughtered by hand by a trained Muslim, with the name of Allah pronounced over each animal, in accordance with standard Islamic guidelines for zabiha. We use a sharp blade, slaughter is performed in a single continuous cut, and the animal is facing the qibla.
Requirements for Qurbani can vary between Islamic schools of thought. You are responsible for confirming that our sacrifice methodology meets your personal religious requirements before booking. We do not certify compliance with any specific madhhab beyond the common zabiha conditions described above.
6. Pickup, Delivery, and No-Show
Pickup. If you selected pickup, you must collect your meat at the farm during the pickup window we communicate following slaughter.
Delivery. Local delivery is available to addresses within a 30-mile radius of our farm in Stamford, NY. You must provide a valid address that falls inside our service area; orders with addresses outside the radius will be converted to farm pickup.
No-show. Because fresh meat is perishable, orders that are not picked up within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup window, or that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or inaccessible address, may be donated or disposed of at our discretion. No refund is issued for no-shows.
7. Communications
Order updates — including confirmation, animal reservation, slaughter completion, balance invoice, and fulfillment notification — are sent by email to the address you provide at booking. Harbsfarm Qurbani does not send SMS or marketing messages through this booking system.
8. Limitation of Liability
Harbsfarm Qurbani is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
